Corrosion:   Mild steel, when exposed to moisture, will corrode.

It is the users responsibility to take care of the MPAS components by ensuring it is stored in a dry environment and that it gets cleaned regularly.

It is advisable to keep the surface lightly oiled and covered in very corrosive environments.

Spatter:   MIG and Stick welding processes produce a lot of harmful spatter which will interfere with accurate assembly of fixturing devices and components. 
It is advisable to use Anti Spatter spray as much as possible.

Use the Thor Assembly Table for tack welding only and finish the rest of the welding on a different surface.
Regularly clean the Table surface with a stone or a fine grit flap disc on a small grinder to remove all spatter.
